_VOID Nomadic Gallery booth at NOISE Media Art in Istanbul

At our booth, we proudly showcased three works by artists based in Scotland that critically engage with the conditions of the present. Each project operates through conceptual precision and formal experimentation, and together they form a dialogue about politics, technology, and the shifting grounds of contemporary culture.

Jack Lander <Hyperrealestate>
Jack Lander’s <Hyperrealestate> reclaims land in the space between the virtual and the actual. Using photogrammetry of Donald Trump’s golf courses in Scotland, it interrogates questions of land ownership, control, and resistance through the mechanics of a walking simulator.
Rachel Maclean <DUCK>
Rachel Maclean’s <DUCK> stages a British spy thriller reimagined through deepfake technology. By resurrecting Sean Connery and Marilyn Monroe, the work reflects on manipulation, authenticity, and the construction of truth in the age of synthetic media.
Thomson & Craighead <Like This>
Thomson & Craighead’s <Like This> takes the logic of algorithmic recommendation as material, exposing how systems of cultural suggestion intertwine with desire, repetition, and the ambient noise of contemporary life.
Together, these works resonate as critical propositions, attuned to the political and technological fault lines of our time.

>>>Noise_Media Art creates an inclusive, boundary-pushing space where technology and contemporary art meet on equal ground.
